hey, third post today =)

OK PLEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEE dont associate the realists (the amish, the creationists, etc. etc.) with the rest of the catholic world. I may not be that great a christian, but yes, i believe. at times i can be agnostic, but thats besides the point.

I go to a catholic school, im part of the youth group, and i must say that it IS a rewarding feeling to me
interestingly enough, im going to refer to an episode of south park, in which a mormon boy and his family move into town. The episode goes to town the the mormon beliefs, but the end moral is something like this: It doesnt matter what you believe, as long as you do what is right.
Say what you want regarding moral realism, subjectivism, relativism, etc.
I just like making people feel good
thats why im studying to become a doctor.

My priest is as open and as liberal as they come. He graduated with a degree in Sociology and a B.Sc, before deciding to become a priest. Him and I play soccer every once in a while. I've told him that i can be agnostic at times. He says it happens to him too. But then you see people who do so much for those who have so little, and its sparks his belief that SOMETHING is working towards us for the greater good. And its not really wishful thinking, yenno... More like hope. and thats not too bad is it? Like, i think wishful thinking is more like... the misplaced knkowledge something is going to happen, even though its dumb. and hope is faith in the heart of fellow man, or in the determination of one's self, or any number of things with a positive result.

seriously. i hate creationists too. they make ME look like a dumbass. Believe what you want regarding religion, but please dont pass judgement on others based on one part of the spectrum.

Heh, I used to go to church every Sunday no matter what. As of now, the last time I was in a church was during my Confirmation classes because I've successfully argued about God and whatnot with my parents, though they just prefer to believe that kind of stuff anyway.
